I use Windows Live Writer with DasBlog to post to my blogs.  Unfortunately Live Writer does not have seperate Ping settings per weblog.  I post to some "family only" weblogs that I don't really need others looking at, as well as public blogs. 

Instead of using Live Writer to ping, I use AutoPinger which pings a plethora of sites.
